Soll ski resort
Located only a few kilometres from the German-Austrian border at Kiefersfelden, Soll lies in a wind-protected basin between the exalted Wilder Kaiser and Hohe Salve Mountains. Soll can boast that it is the main resort on Austria’s huge Ski Welt circuit, which in total provides skiers with access to over 250 km of runs. In addition to Soll it is worth looking into other resorts in the Ski Welt circuit, and consider for example booking a skiing holiday to Ellmau.
Soll is a relatively large village with an attractive centre, and like many Austrian Ski Resorts it is centred around a traditional Austrian church. The Napoleonic Wars took place close to Soll and there is a war memorial at the north end of the Village.
Reasons why skiers choose Soll Ski Resort
Soll is a universally enjoyable resort, and offers great skiing across all ski levels. When coupled with affordable accommodation and an active night life, it makes for an enjoyable ski holiday.
The resort has worked hard to improve family facilities. For those with younger children, Monti's Kids' World is located in the heart of the ski area, making it easily accessible from the pistes. The slopes are located 1 km from town and are best reached using the convenient ski buses.
Facilities and activities
One of Soll’s best features is the array of facilities and activities. You won’t get bored with activities ranging from ice skating on Lake Moorsee, curling , tobogganing, bowling, night skiing and you can even book a ski away day in nearby Westendorf. With over 50 restaurants there is no shortage of dining options, and the night life is vibrant and varied with a large choice of popular night spots.
