Panorama Ski Holidays - North Americas Best Kept Secret
The ski terrain at Panorama has practically doubled in size in recent years, making it one of the largest ski areas in Canada. It already had a 1219 metre vertical on offer the highest in the Banff Canadian Rockies Region and one of the largest in North America. The Intrawest vision is of breathtaking scenery surrounding an intimate mountain village, with doorstep skiing for all ability levels.
Panorama's newest expansion, Taynton Bowl, has made the resort into one of the largest ski resorts in Canada and the addition of two new quads last season gets skiers and riders into this former heli-skiing terrain with ease and speed.

The bowl features over 700 acres of back country style naturally gladed skiing. The East-facing bowl normally captures exceptional snowfall throughout the season. Acquired from the local Heli-Ski company based at Panorama the area was brought into the recreational boundary with access off the Summit lift with skiing out over 5 km (3 miles) to the village. The main chutes are over 1,700 feet (520m) vertical feet descent.
Long-time local skier Bruce Hamstead who hails from Austria says, "I compare Taynton with China Bowl at Vail and the Jackson Hobacks." The New Millennium Trail provides 2 km of excellent fall terrain starting at the top of the Horizon Chair running all the way to the Sunbird Chair.
