La Clusaz Ski Holidays - Beautiful Trails Through Woodland
The stunning last minute ski holiday resort of La Clusaz is an entirely lift-linked resort spreads across five mountains; La Croix Fry-Manigod-Merdassier, Beauregard, L'Etale, Balme and L'Aiguille. There are over 50 lifts in the ski large area and wide variety of ski runs spread across the 128 km of pistes. There are a wide range of terrains on offer including steep descents and wide trails through the trees which are ideal for cruising.

The closest place to ski from the village is the perfect ski area on Beauregard. Beauregard is ideal for easy cruising runs through the trees, although there Beauregard presents a great opportunity for some intense tree-skiing. The area situated behind Beauregard is a great beginner area based on the slopes of La Croix Fry-Manigod-Merdassier. The area here is a cheap ski holiday haven made up of largely green and blue runs allowing skiers to learn the basics without fear of more experienced skiers flying past like in other French ski holiday resorts.
Situated next to Beauregard and La Croix Fry-Manigod-Merdassier is L'Etale, which has a large amount of runs situated at steep inclines above the treeline. Across to the other side of the ski resort is the Aiguille ski mountain. The Aiguille mountain is famous for it's wide, sunny slopes and long runs with big verticals like the Grand Crêt run which has a vertical of over 1,200 metres. Another exciting run that you can take on your last minute ski holiday is a thrilling run called Combe du Fernuy. This is graded red and black in parts and leads you all the way to the skiing on the fifth mountain Balme. Balme is the highest and most snowsure of all the mountains and has a wide variety of long slopes and fast cruising runs that are all above tree line.
