Gstaad Ski Holidays - Wonderful Choice of Runs
The famous Swiss ski holiday resort of Gstaad is situated in the heart of a massive ski area and is geographically located between four valleys, all with skiing in them. One ski area that is above Saanen is reached directly from the edge of the village by gondola. The skiing in that area carries on over into French-speaking Switzerland in the neighbouring cheap ski holiday resort of Rougemont. Chateau d'Oex is also easily accessible from Gstaad and all three of the centres are available in the Ski Gstaad Pass. This gives you access to 15 different last minute ski holiday resorts including some of the best in Switzerland. Some of the famous cheap ski holiday resorts that are available on the pass are Lenk, Adelboden, Les Mosses, Les Diablerets, Villars, and Leysin.
Another valley gives you access to Zweissimen, Saanenmoser and Schönried. All these last minute ski holiday resorts are lift-linked and create the largest lift-linked area on the Ski Gstaad Pass. The third valley around Gstaad is home to the skiing in the Alpes Vaudoises area, home to Gryon, Les Mosses, Les Diablerets, Villars and Leysin.

The final valley is home to Gstaad's local skiing on the Wispile and also in a second shorter valley that is a quick bus ride from Launen
There are some nursery slopes available at Wispile and also a particularly easy run at the top of the mountain, making it a perfect area for beginners. There are also a couple of long black and reds that lead from the top gondola station right back down into the valley. The break down of terrain here is 60% beginner, 30% intermediate and 10% expert. The more advanced runs are dotted around the ski areas with all areas having at least a single long and challenging black.
Cheap Ski Holidays In Gstaad - Great Choice For Snowboarders
One of the highlights from the Diblerets glacier is the 14 km easy descent with a steep black mogul section that brings you down to Reusch on the road back to Gstaad. On this descent you descend a whopping 1,650 metre vertical. Chateau d'Oex also has several challenging blacks that must be tried including the long black from Monts Chevreuils right down to Les Moulins. Another exciting option is heli-skiing.
