There's a good selection of non-skiing activities in the area, including snow shoeing and an ice driving circuit for quad bikes and go karts at 1400 and a choice of five hang gliding and paragliding schools spread out across all the bases.
There are ice rinks at all three bases (natural at 1400 and 1500). Serre Chevalier 1400 has a number of unique facilities in the valley including horse riding, a sleigh or carriage ride business, the Isicles indoor swimming pool complex and a bridge club which operates two evenings per week. It is also the location of a leisure park with a nature theme.
Serre Chevalier 1500 has two art museums and offers free village tours, a new hot water pool opened there in 2000. Both 1350 and 1400 have fitness centres. Each base has a library and a cinema.
"La Grotte de Glace" at SerreChevalier 1500 is located at the top of the main Bachas Chair up from Monetier. This ice cave is over 100 metres of silent ice-tunnel filled with superb ice-sculptures - each year with a theme, such as Inuit for 2003.
