At the base of the lifts, you have the choice of snowshoeing in the surrounding woodlands or visiting the Ski Museum which is full of information on the history of skiing in Québec. Dog-sledding can be an essential means of transport in this area but its also a great way to get out into the wilderness and you'll find plenty of places offering trips for one day or more. Accommodation can range from a tent under the stars to rustic cabins or more comfortable lodgings. Packages generally include an introduction to dog sledding and an experienced driver, known as a musher. Just be sure to pack your warmest clothing!
